NYSORA Webcast Series: Innovative Regional Techniques for Analgesia After Total Knee Arthroplasty

Why attend?

Total knee arthroplasty (TKR) presents a significant acute pain management challenge. TKR results in severe postoperative pain that limits mobility, rehabilitation, and requires substantial doses of opioids. This 30 minute live program will discuss the most pertinent challenges in management of postoperative pain after TKR and modalities you can use use in your practice to treat it.

What will you learn?

Dr. Sanjay Sinha and his team have pioneered highly effective ultrasound-guided interventional analgesic techniques that avoid the shortcomings of the most commonly used peripheral nerves blocks (e.g., femoral and sciatic) using liposomal bupivacaine. This presentation will discuss a novel, highly effective ultrasound-guided technique of infiltration of liposomic bupivacaine to control pain in patients after TKR.

Sanjay K. Sinha MD,
Director of Regional Anesthesia,
St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center,
Hartford, Connecticut

Supported by an Educational Grant from Pacira Pharmaceuticals
